Collection: Cat Cave Beds

Some cats nap out in the open. Others prefer a secret lair where they can hide from the world, and from you at nail-trim time.

Our cat cave beds give burrowers a warm, cosy hideaway with soft walls and plenty of fluff, so they can curl up, tune out and nap in peace.

How to Choose a Cat Cave Bed

Start with your cat's size. They should be able to curl up inside with a little room to turn around, and a good cave bed is soft enough that they'll want to stay put.

Who is a cat cave bed for?

Cats who like to hide, burrow or sleep under the covers. If yours disappears under your doona or into the wardrobe, a cave gives them that hidden-away feeling in a bed of their own. Cats who sleep sprawled out flat may prefer an open cat bed instead.

Which size cave bed should I get?

The 40cm Snuggle Cave suits kittens and smaller cats, and the 50cm Snuggle Cave gives bigger cats room to turn around. If your cat is long or heavy-set, go for the 50cm.

Cat Cave Bed FAQs

Why do cats like hiding in small spaces?

Tucked-away spots help many cats feel safe, because nothing can sneak up on them while they rest. Hiding is also how plenty of cats cope when something in the house feels stressful, like visitors, noise or a new pet.

Will my cat actually go inside a cat cave?

Most burrowers will move straight in, but some like to inspect it first. Pop a treat or a favourite toy inside to show them it's theirs, and let them explore it in their own time.

Is a cat cave bed warm enough for winter?

Yes. The hood helps hold in your cat's body heat, and the thick plush lining makes it one of the cosiest spots in the house on a cold night. In summer, don't be surprised to find them sleeping on top of it instead.
