Cat Beds

Cats sleep for most of the day, so they're very particular about where. Find a bed that passes inspection. Probably.

Some like to curl into a fluffy donut, some want a cave to disappear into, and some will only nap somewhere big enough to sprawl like royalty. Whatever kind of napper you live with, there's a cat bed here to suit them.

How to Choose a Cat Bed

Think about how big your cat is, where they like to nap and how easy the bed will be to keep clean. Get those right, and the bed has a fighting chance against the cardboard box.

What size cat bed does my cat need?

Measure your cat curled up asleep, then add a little room to stretch. Our donut beds and cave beds come in 40cm for smaller cats and 50cm for bigger ones. If your cat sprawls, or shares a bed with a sibling, the Cloud Nine Calming Cat Bed comes in 90cm and 110cm.

Where should I put my cat's bed?

Put it where your cat already likes to sleep. That's usually somewhere warm, quiet and out of the way of foot traffic, and many cats love a sunny spot or a perch with a view. A bed in the middle of a busy hallway is likely to be ignored.

Which cat beds are easiest to keep clean?

Beds you can throw in the wash. The Calming Donut Cat Bed is machine washable, and the Cloud Nine has a removable, washable cover. Check each product's details for care instructions before washing.

Cat Bed FAQs

Do calming cat beds really work?

A bed that's all their own can help a cat feel settled. Just like you love sinking into your own bed at night, cats love a familiar spot that smells like them. A calming bed adds a soft, raised rim to curl against and rest a chin on. If your cat seems stressed or anxious, talk to your vet.

Why won't my cat use their new bed?

Cats like familiar things, and a new bed smells new. Put it where they already nap and make it smell like home: add a blanket that smells like you, or sit or lie on it yourself for a while. If your cat loves being wherever you are, that's often all it takes. Independent types may need a few days, and a little dignity, before they'll admit it's comfy.

Do cats need a cooling mat in summer?

Not every cat, but a cooling mat gives them a cool spot to stretch out on hot days. The Chill Out Cat Cooling Mat uses a cooling gel, so it needs no power. Always make sure your cat has shade and fresh water when it's hot.

Can dogs use these beds?

Small dogs fit our 40cm and 50cm beds, and the 110cm Cloud Nine suits pets up to 36kg. Whether your cat lets them is another matter.
